Sharp Electronics Corporation Auto and Commercial Associate Product Manager in United States

Overview

This position is responsible for preparing IPSI excel spreadsheets, monitoring production and inventory reports, maintaining current pricing for programs, participating in sales strategies and business planning.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and input information for the monthly preparation of the IPSI.

  • Collaborate to present approved IPSI to Management. Coordinate with executive management on targets to be met, in order to issue final reports.

  • Work with management on fiscal business plan preparation to achieve BP metrics.

  • Coordinate approved product purchase authorizations to on-site and off-shore factories.

  • Monitor product line inventory and purchases.

  • Update and maintain current product pricing programs.

  • Work with logistics on a global basis to manage production location, point of sale, warehousing and logistics to maximize profit and minimize taxes, duties, and tariffs.

  • May interface with factories on technical, delivery, and quality issues.

  • Helps to coordinate new product introductions, track requirements for all validation builds with program manager(s) and factory. Work with factory to ensure order fulfillment and launch ramp up requirements are being met to ensure OEM milestones.

  • Attend and report on trade shows and seminar, including booth duty when necessary.

  • Supports calls with the Japanese factory.

  • Maintains NRE log and collaborates with accounting on issuance.

  • Interface with legal department on current and proposed legal agreeme

Qualifications

  • BS or equivalent required. Prefer 5 – 7 years or more experience in the electronics industry or related function.

  • Fluent in Excel, SAP experience preferred.

  • Requires excellent writing & communication skills, extraordinary attention to detail and follow-up. The ability to work independently, manage individual direct reports, as well as within a team. Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to complex inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Position may require up to 10-20% domestic and international travel for customer, sales and operations coordination.

  • Japanese language skills preferred but not required

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this consultant role is $60,000 - $101,808. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
