Sharp Electronics Corporation Director of Marketing Programs Pricing and Events in Montvale, New Jersey
We are looking for a marketing leader that has a history of partnering with sales (channel and direct), is open to challenging the status quo and understands how to create programs, promotions and experiences that can lead to preference for Sharp within our channel and growth for Sharp and our channel/dealer partners.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of Marketing Programs and Pricing will be a hands-on leader of a team of marketers focused on our channel programs, events and cross-channel promotional and pricing efforts, among other activities. You and your team will manage a set of external vendors utilized for incentive management, travel, national events and more.
As a lead of the marketing team, you will be cross-functional in nature, and have an eye for mentoring and developing your team of professional marketers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, that combine an engaging management style with a can-do, roll-up your sleeves mentality to drive team performance to new heights.
Management of Sharp Dealer program.
Partner with sales and business teams to define proper annual channel marketing (rebate and incentive) programs, targeted (vertical market, monthly, etc.) discounting promotions and similar GTM efforts
Ensuring program contents and levels are reflective of the Sharp dealer/channel needs and Sharp’s business goals.
Creation and dissemination of annual Dealer marketing programs – including purchasing targets, rebate levels and other annual incentives.
Continual interaction with sales to understand how the channel is receiving and activating all Sharp makes available to them.
Management of events program across physical and virtual events, and leadership of the team to coordinate event deliverables, appropriate branding, demo equipment coordination to create successful experiences for our dealers, partners and channel.
Provide guidance and direction to team working special pricing requests including for large bids, special buys and promotions.
Work closely with Business Planning team on pricing levels and profitability projections.
Define pricing models and strategies designed to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning and long-term profits
Align with sales on competitive market requirements and dealer needs.
Coordinate launches and product inventory planning with Product Management team.
Manage and direct staff and ensure their continued development in functional capabilities, Sharp knowledge and exposure as well as overall business acumen.
Collaboratively engage other marketing teams to ensure pricing and financial programs, incentive activities and events complement overall market and company goals
Guide sales incentive program for channel and direct sales teams, maximizing sales engagement, interest and productivity and overall affinity to Sharp
Lead pricing operation activities and act as the liaison between sales, business, product and marketing teams to oversee the implementation of pricing initiatives
Responsible for the evaluation, analysis, recommendation, and implementation wholesale pricing
Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Analyze short- and long-term profitability and risks
Provide strategic guidance on new packaging, pricing and leasing initiatives and programs to drive Sharp’s strategic advantage in the market, leverage our broad portfolio
Management of large activities and events to a set budget.
Bachelors Degree strongly preferred. MBA a plus.
10+ years of progressive marketing programs industry experience- with demonstrable ownership/exposure to programs and events.
Technology marketing experience (including Office Technology / Print) preferred.
Excellent analytical skills with exposure to financial program creation, leasing options and the ability distill and clearly communicate large amounts of data.
Demonstrable fluency in common MS office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), Salesforce, Business Intelligence and/or SAP familiarity preferred.
Clear and confident communication and the ability to comfortably interact with a variety of levels and functional teams within the organization
