Sharp Electronics Corporation Channel Sales Representative in Montvale, New Jersey

Overview

Primary responsibility of the Channel Sales Representative (CSR) is to drive dealer and distributor engagements, activation and product sell thru across a variety of sales and marketing activities for the Home Appliance business. The CSR will be responsible for and measured by the following KPI performance metrics.

  • Sales growth of dealers in named territory/dealer territory

  • Growth of average unit sales by assigned dealers and distributors

  • Effective marketing programs utilizing various sales and marketing triggers

The CSR will be assigned a number of dealers within a geographic region. Within those dealers are both SHARP distributor contacts and in-store sales people. The CSR will profile the dealership and the sales representatives who are within the dealership to determine where to focus their time and energy and in achieving the above KPI's. They will also coordinate with their assigned outside SHARP territory sales leader on any and all aspects to ensure the greatest success for our SHARP brand and products. They will provide timely updates to all parties on performance, opportunities, concerns, key dealer sales reps/contacts and needs like training, pricing, meetings, etc. to drive growth and achievement of the dealer's primary objectives and SHARP's quota performance.

Responsibilities

  • Sales plan by dealership with agreed-upon goals and objectives per the above KPI's

  • Daily and frequent proactive calls to dealers

  • Priority based on sales plan and product portfolio

  • Dealer opportunity, identification and engagements

  • Sales support on product information, pricing, strategy, new products

  • Communicate sales programs and other key SHARP brand and product information

  • Web based training/communications to dealership and sales reps (1 to 1 or 1 to many)

  • Trade show coordination, meeting scheduling, effective SHARP social programming

  • Internal SEMCA communication on deals, obstacles, pricing, competitive activities, new products

  • Update all internal tools/systems/databases regarding dealers, i.e. adding/updating dealer sales reps and key contacts in SFDC

The CSRs will utilize all existing tools to support the dealers as well as manage their goals:

  • Sales and brochure materials

  • Video's and product demonstrations

  • Webinars and email communications

  • Trainers and web based training

  • When and where effective and appropriate will conduct face to face dealer meetings/presentations

  • When and where appropriate will attend and participate in trade shows

Qualifications

  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree required

  • 2 years selling experience required, telemarketing preferred

  • Consumer Electronics, Home Appliance selling experience ideal

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills required

  • Knowledge and use of MS Office required

  • TRAVEL: Up to 20% travel, domestic and international
